Carne Asada Nachos

Made with our Calivirgin Guilty Garlic Olive Oil

Carne Asada:

  • 1 pound skirt steak or flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 jalapeño, finely diced
  • ½ cup cilantro leaves, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ó teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon Calivirgin Guilty Garlic Olive Oil

Nachos:

  • 12 ounces tortilla chips
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
  • 4 ounces monterey jack cheese, grated
  • Optional toppings: pico de gallo,guacamole, crema, jalapeños, cilantro, Calivirgin Lavish Lime Olive Oil
  1. Combine the marinade ingredients and pour over steak in a dish or in a gallon sized sealable bag. Store in the refrigerator and marinate for at least 2 hours or as long as overnight.
  2. Grill or pan cook the steak until it reaches the desired doneness and let rest 5 minutes. Slice into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Spread the chips in a single layer and slightly overlapping in a sheet pan. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake at 375°F in oven until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.
  4. Top with carne asada, drizzle with Calivirgin Lavish Lime Olive Oil and sprinkle on your favorite toppings!
