- 1 15-ounce can chickpeas drained, reserve 2-3 tablespoons liquid as ingredient
- 2 garlic cloves
- ¼ cup Calivirgin Guilty Garlic Olive Oil, plus more for drizzling
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ¼ cup Tahini sesame paste
- 1 teaspoon sumac
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt

Drain in a sieve and reserve liquid from the chickpeas and rinse with cold water.

Place lemon juice, tahini, and garlic in a food processor and blend until smooth. Add the chickpeas, salt, pepper, cumin, and sumac into the processor and blend.

Slowly add Calivirgin Guilty Garlic Olive Oil until the mixture is smooth. Add the reserved liquid one tablespoon at a time until the hummus is to the desired consistency.

Serve on pitas, crackers, veggies, or sandwiches. Drizzle with extra olive oil and enjoy!

RECIPE NOTES
Hint - Try Calivirgin's many flavors of Olive Oil to give the hummus a personalized taste. For your personal preference, add 1 to 2 teaspoons of perhaps Guilty Garlic, Hot Virgin Jalapeno, or Bountiful Basil. A little of the Lusty Lemon will also add a nice twist. Be adventurous with this classic recipe.
